Radio Velayat is in its third year of producing and broadcasting
quality public interest programming to the Persian (Farsi) speaking community in the
United States of America. The programs on Radio Velayat consist of three Persian (Farsi)
language shows, Saturday Morning Live, WorldView and The Silk Road. These shows are
broadcast live every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (EST) on Media General Cable’s
International Channel 30, and rebroadcast on Channel 37 as well as on the World Wide Web (www.fcac.org/webr) worldwide, every Wednesday between
10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (EST).
The Studio and facilities are provided by Fairfax Cable Access
Corporation (FCAC), a non-profit organization which is partially funded by the public.
Your financial support will go a long way in helping to maintain the current production
expenses, while improving the content quality of these public service, commercial free
programs. It is important to note that your contributions are tax deductible.
Through the use of cable television to broadcast radio shows, the
producers of Radio Velayat can offer potential sponsors and underwriters PowerPoint
created slides which will highlight you and your business/organization. Each slide will be
shown, approximately, once every 5 minutes which will add up to 12 showings per hour. A
typical slide will contain your name, the name of your business/organization, the address,
telephone number(s) and e-mail address. Currently the shows on Radio Velayat attract over
1,500 listeners on live broadcasts every Saturday. In addition, we will place an
advertisement banner on our web site, www.mamali.com
with a link to your business/organization’s site at no cost.
Radio Velayat has no political, racial or religious affiliation and is
a strong supporter of the First Amendment. It’s sole mission is to provide a platform
for the Persian (Farsi) speaking community to exchange views and experiences in the hope
of better understanding of their parental culture, as well as the American Culture.
The basic sponsorship is $25 per 1-hour-program for at least 3
months:
Your sponsorship for 3 months will include 12 programs ($300).
Your sponsorship for 6 months will include 25 programs ($600).
Your sponsorship for 12 months will include 52 programs ($1200).
You may also sponsor one or more programs on irregular bases for $50
per program. That particular show(s) can be dedicated to your children, spouse, relatives
or friends. The program can be a gift to your loved ones for a birthday, anniversary or
any other special occasion.
